Magic Reportedly Will Hire Vogel

Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reported Vogel and the Magic have "reached a deal in principle."
On Wednesday, ESPN's Marc Stein reported the Magic were "optimistic" they would land Vogel over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Knicks Brass Reportedly Met with Vogel

Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reported Phil Jackson and New York Knicks general manager Steve Mills met in Los Angeles last week with Vogel regarding the team's coaching vacancy.
On May 6, Marc Berman of the New York Post reported on the Knicks' interest in Vogel.
Rockets Reportedly Showed Interest in Vogel

The Houston Rockets have reportedly spoken to Vogel's representation about the team's head coaching vacancy, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
Vogel, 42, went 250-181 in six seasons with the Pacers, leading the team to the postseason five times. He's also spent time as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics (2001-04), Philadelphia 76ers (2004-05) and the Pacers (2007-11).
Vogel led the Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals twice but could never quite get the team over the hump.
"It's time for a new voice around here," Pacers president Larry Bird said after announcing Vogel's contract wouldn't be renewed, per Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star. "Sometimes my job really sucks, and this is one of the toughest things I've done because of the respect I've had for Frank. I've had time to think about it and watch the team throughout the year."
