Chelsea, Tottenham Charged for Failing to Control Players and Officials
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both been charged by the Football Association after their battle at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
The FA confirmed the details Wednesday in a statement on their website, in which it’s alleged both of the London clubs breached FA Rule E20 three times for "failing to control their players and/or officials.”
Specific times are noted for two of these incidents, the 45th minute and 87th minute, with the first relating to a scuffle involving a host of players at half-time—most notably Spurs’ Mousa Dembele, who is mentioned in the statement. An incident at the end of the game was also cited in the FA's report.

Dembele has been charged with violent conduct by the FA, and the statement said: “It is alleged the player’s behaviour constituted violent conduct in circumstances where the standard punishment of three matches that would otherwise apply is clearly insufficient.”
As the players made their way off the field at half-time, Dembele appeared to gouge the eye of Chelsea man Diego Costa.
As tempers flared, a number of scuffles broke out, including one Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino had to break up between between Danny Rose and Willian before the break.

Cesc Fabregas and Erik Lamela were also involved in a tangle as the contest came to a close, with the former accusing the latter of treading on his hand.
Throughout the 90 minutes, both teams put in a succession of thunderous tackles as the atmosphere inside the stadium reached fever pitch.
These figures from Squawka Football sum up just how physical the contest was:
The significance of the result added further fuel to what is always a bitter fixture, with Chelsea seeking to put an end to Tottenham’s title chances after a miserable season of their own.
And despite Spurs going up 2-0 in the first half, the Blues did exactly that, with Eden Hazard rising from the bench to inspire his team to a second-half fightback. A 2-2 draw meant Leicester City were crowned surprise Premier League champions.
