Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Monchengladbach: Winners and Losers from Bundesliga
Borussia Monchengladbach came back from a goal behind on Saturday to claim a draw with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Thomas Muller put the Bavarians ahead on six minutes, and it looked as though Pep Guardiola and company would clinch a record fourth consecutive Bundesliga title. Andre Hahn leveled the score with 18 minutes left to play, however, and Bayern were unable to retake the lead as they were held to a point.
The Bavarians will have to wait until next week to wrap up the championship, while Gladbach's point was a positive step towards their snatching the Bundesliga's fourth Champions League spot: The result saw them overtake Hertha BSC for fourth place, although only goal difference separates the two sides as of now.

Winner: Thomas Muller
1 of 4
Bayern needed Muller to step up in the absence of Robert Lewandowski, and the Germany international did just that. He put Bayern ahead on six minutes with his 20th Bundesliga goal of the season and his 32nd in all competitions. Muller was Bayern's only threat in attack in the first half, accounting for all four of his side's attempts on goal. It was an impressive feat given that he played without his strike partner, who usually is helpful at least for the purpose of creating space, ahead of him.
Muller was benched in Bayern's midweek loss to Atletico Madrid; after his goal on Saturday, perhaps Pep Guardiola will start him in the second leg.
Loser: Juan Bernat
2 of 4
Juan Bernat looked hopelessly out of his depth in midweek and struggled again against Gladbach. He just seems to lack a bit of focus these days, surprising given the faith Guardiola has put in him. It was no surprise that Gladbach's goal came from Hahn, the player whose responsibility it was for Bernat to mark on the wing.
The Spaniard had a very positive first season in Munich and ended it in great form, suggesting he might have turned the corner and been ready for the next level. But this season is ending oppositely for Bernat.
Winner: Andre Hahn
3 of 4
The former Augsburg man has been in great form lately, having scored and given an assist last week against Hoffenheim. And the 25-year-old continued his streak on Saturday with a well-taken equalizer. He certainly earned it over the course of the match: The Bundesliga live ticker clocked him has having covered 12.18 kilometers during the match, a figure only Mahmoud Dahoud exceeded among Gladbach players.
Hahn's goal was enough to spoil Bayern's party, but it also may be a key moment in Gladbach's season as they remain neck-and-neck with Hertha in the race for fourth place and the Champions League spot that comes with it. When all is said and done, one point could make all the difference.
Winner: Joshua Kimmich
4 of 4
Saturday's match saw two of Germany's best young central midfield talents square off as Joshua Kimmich of Bayern took on Gladbach's Mahmoud Dahoud.
The Gladbach man's performance was patchy, with its ups and downs. Kimmich was more consistently strong. He won his tackles and completed an impressive 95.59 percent of his passes (per the Bundesliga live ticker). Kimmich had a better team around him and is a year older, but regardless, the Bayern man was the better performer on the day.
Although often used in central defense this season, Kimmich has stepped into midfield for Guardiola lately and done so seamlessly. His recent performances have proven that he really is a central midfielder, and a hugely talented one at that.
