Barclays U21 Premier League 2016: Tuesday Result, Updated Table and Schedule
Manchester United U21s won a third Premier League Division One title in four years after beating Tottenham Hotspur U21s 3-2 at White Hart Lane on Tuesday, thanks to a stunning stoppage-time winner from Guillermo Varela.
He spared United's blushes after the junior Red Devils blew a two-goal lead late on. Andreas Pereira had added to Donald Love's opener for United before Tottenham hit back via skipper William Miller and Joe Pritchard.
But Varela had the last word for a United squad loaded with talented prospects who have earned senior first-team experience this season.

Recap
Players such as Pereira and full-back Varela routinely cut through Spurs with slick and stylish combinations.
The trio headlined a starting XI also including Love, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Paddy McNair, according to the club's official site:
Spurs gaffer Ugo Ehiogu also named a strong team, via the club:
But Ehiogu saw his side trail early when Love thundered home a powerful strike inside the first five minutes. He struck decisively after Pereira's clever touch.
One of two nominal defenders playing in midfield, along with McNair, Love took advantage of operating further forward to open his United account. Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News noted how long it's taken Love to find the net:
"Donald Love scores his first #mufc goal for three-and-a-half years. Belting hit. Good lay-off from Burnley.

United's second was even better. It came from a devilish and deft cross by Varela, an expert delivery that the raiding Pereira met with aplomb.
Despite the two-goal deficit, Spurs always looked threatening. In particular, Harry Winks was a constant menace.

It was Miller who made the most of the room Winks' busy display afforded. The captain raked home a low shot to get the visitors back in it.
Miller continued to be a thorn in the United defence following the break, going close less than three minutes after the restart.

But United always carried a threat, something evidenced by Love spurning a great chance when presented with an open goal 10 minutes into the half. Substitute Scott McTominay also narrowly failed to round off a nice move just after the hour mark.
It was not McTominay's only mistake. He was out of position when Pritchard turned in Tottenham's equaliser.
Moments before, Pereira had hit the post after forcing his way through the Spurs defence.
Borthwick-Jackson also went close a minute before stoppage time, but it was left to Varela to play hero. The Uruguayan struck a sweet volley from close to 20 yards to give United the title.
It's an achievement that endorses the club's adherence to building through young talent. It's a tradition senior boss Louis van Gaal has maintained amid the criticism regarding his position.
Now the Dutchman knows he has even more precocious youths to choose from.
