Bournemouth vs. Liverpool: Score, Reaction from 2016 Premier League Game
A much-altered Liverpool lineup claimed a 2-1 victory at Bournemouth on Sunday to move up to seventh in the Premier League standings, two points below sixth-placed West Ham United having played a game fewer.
Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge provided a pair of first-half goals for the Reds in their visit to Dean Court, keeping alive Liverpool's slim hopes of a top-four finish. Joshua King provided consolation for the home side.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp made 10 changes to the team that defeated Borussia Dortmund on Thursday. Kevin Stewart, Brad Smith and Danny Ward—each 22 years old—and Connor Randall, 20, started against the Cherries, while Philippe Coutinho, Simon Mignolet, Adam Lallana and Mamadou Sakho moved to the bench.
Sturridge has had to endure his share of injury setbacks this term, but the England forward is now in a vein of rich form, per the official Europa League Twitter account:
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe knows his side are most likely safe from relegation after enjoying a four-match unbeaten run through the latter end of February and March, but Sunday's display was lacking in the same fervour.
Matt Ritchie looked like one of the hosts' bright sparks from the right-hand side, but Bournemouth struggled for inspiration in attack, despite claiming a larger chunk of the possession and limiting Liverpool's chances.
The official Liverpool Twitter account attested to youngster Jordon Ibe featuring as one of the visitors' most impressive players down the Reds' left flank, offering a lot in attack and defence:
Howe's men may well have taken a bore draw at the break, but Firmino's quick reactions saw him divert home the opener on the 41-minute mark after Bournemouth stopper Artur Boruc parried a Sturridge shot.
The Brazil attacker only recently made his full return to fitness and is already offering Liverpool a heavy impact in attack:
Firmino experienced a slow start to life in England after signing from Hoffenheim last summer, but OptaJoe detailed how he's adapted and rediscovered his scoring stride in 2016:
Bournemouth's afternoon quickly took a further turn for the worse, as an added-time header from Sturridge doubled the deficit and meant any chance of a second-half revival became all the more unlikely.
Ibe supplied the free-kick that Sturridge arrowed low into Boruc's left corner from the 12-yard spot, and Bet365 highlighted the form of England's strikers as Jamie Vardy also netted in Leicester City's draw with West Ham United:
Sturridge has struggled for fitness this season, but Sunday's display saw him at his fluent best, even going close to lobbing Boruc for 3-0 early in the second half, per the Liverpool Echo's James Pearce:
Klopp rung the changes in the final 20 minutes but opted to leave his brigade of starlets on, instead withdrawing Kolo Toure, Firmino and Ibe in place of Sakho, Divock Origi and Lallana, respectively.
Bournemouth just couldn't find the gaps needed to cut Liverpool open, and Bleacher Report's Jack Lusby detailed their disappointment after seeing several penalty shouts turned down:
The Cherries were finally rewarded for their troubles after King rescued a consolation for the home outfit deep into second-half added time, but the three points and a third successive win was Liverpool's.
Liverpool can feel encouraged by the young ranks making their way into the first team, with right-back Randall and goalkeeper Ward impressing on their Premier League debuts.
Sturridge's improvement will also be a joyful sight for the Anfield faithful edging toward the business end of the season, with Liverpool still in with a serious chance of European glory.
The Reds have a little under a fortnight before they go up against Villarreal in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final, but Klopp will have been buoyed to see he can rely upon his fringe players to seal the goods, too.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, have now suffered three defeats in their last four matches, and will struggle to regain their stride in upcoming fixtures against Chelsea (home) and Everton (away).
Post-Match Reaction

Reds manager Klopp couldn't help but gush over the talents of Sturridge following a performance in which the former Chelsea and Manchester City youngster had a hand in both Liverpool's goals.
The striker has quickly gone about improving his reputation at Anfield after making a full recovery from his earlier injury problems, leaving his manager in awe, per the official Premier League Twitter account:
The Merseysiders boss also took the time to clear up any talk of his indifference toward winger Ibe, another member of Liverpool's attack who had a hand in firing them to victory on Sunday:
Between Ibe, Sheyi Ojo and the quartet of Smith, Ward, Stewart and Randall, Liverpool came away from Dean Court with a host of youthful positives to build from, while in-form Sturridge reigned dominant.
