Antoine Griezmann bagged a brace and Fernando Torres, Juanfran and Thomas all scored for the Rojiblancos, who were never troubled by Betis. Atletico maintain the joint second-best title odds in Spain, but Barcelona still sit comfortably at the top, despite the loss.

Recap
Real Betis entered Saturday's clash with Atletico having lost their last two matches, and the Andalusians knew they would be in for a rough afternoon against the Rojiblancos. Manager Diego Simeone's men have been playing some fantastic attacking football of late, and they put on quite the show at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.
Torres opened the score with a delightful goal, a clever chip over goalkeeper Antonio Adan. GhanaFans shared footage of the goal:
A horrible error from Adan gave Atletico their second goal shortly after, as the stopper completely misjudged a chipped pass from Griezmann. The ball fell harmlessly into the box but somehow slipped in between Adan's legs, rolling into the empty net.
Here's a look at the goal, courtesy of La Liga's official YouTube channel:
Per Kieren Canning of Agence France-Presse, even Griezmann couldn't believe his failed chip resulted in a goal:
Betis improved in the second half and showed some of the form that led to their hot run to start the new year, but when Juanfran made it 3-0 after 65 minutes, any hopes of a comeback were effectively crushed.
Ruben Castro pulled a goal back for the visitors, but Griezmann restored the three-goal gap almost immediately, thanks to some superb work from Angel Correa. Thomas added a fifth goal for good measure.
It was yet another routine win that reduced the gap between the Blaugrana and Rojiblancos to six points, anf following Barcelona's loss against Real, the title race suddenly looks a little more exciting. Per ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan, manager Zinedine Zidane hoped the win could be the first step toward success for Los Blancos:
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late winner after Karim Benzema had canceled out Gerard Pique's opener, and overall, Real certainly deserved the win. Barcelona looked rusty and out of shape, an ill omen with the UEFA Champions League clash against Atletico on the horizon.
Sergio Ramos saw red at the Camp Nou and will be suspended for Real's next match, but that setback will barely slow the celebrations in the Spanish capital on Saturday.
Finally, Celta Vigo were left frustrated after being forced to share the spoils in the derby against Deportivo La Coruna. The latter took the lead at Balaidos after Celso Borges raced on to an astute pass from Luis Alberto before confidently slotting the ball in.
But as usual, Celta could count on attacking talisman Nolito to bail them out. The perceptive forward ghosted on to a typically classy ball from creative midfield workhorse Fabian Orellana to equalise.

Depor's bid for the win was undermined when Alejandro Arribas was sent walking in the second half after collecting two yellow cards.
The result has done little for Vigo's bid to chase down fourth-placed Villarreal.
But it's events closer to the top that will have observers buzzing after Ronaldo stunned a sluggish Barca. Real and neighbours Atleti may still be too far behind, but that won't stop the leaders casting a few nervous looks over their shoulders from now on.
