Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal
If Arsenal are going to regain any sort of momentum and stay relevant in the title race, Alexis Sanchez must resume his role as the attacking talisman of the team. That process has to start when the Gunners host Swansea City, the team that won 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium late last season.

The Chilean winger has been far from that in recent matches. Since returning from injury, Sanchez has lacked the burst, trickery and shooting accuracy that made him a 25-goal man during his debut season for Arsenal.
What manager Arsene Wenger really needs to do is find more ways to coax Sanchez off the flanks and make him a greater threat through the middle. He has the movement and strength to thrive centrally.
Playing Sanchez inside might be the Gunners' best way to arrest the struggles to score that have plagued most of their season.
David Silva, Manchester City
Manchester City can put their own title bid back on track by beating Liverpool in a rapidly scheduled rematch of this season's Capital One Cup final. City won that prize, thanks in large part to Silva's industry and ingenuity in midfield.
The pocket-edition playmaker pulled the strings expertly and had Liverpool midfielders like Emre Can chasing shadows. Watching Silva glide across the Wembley pitch left Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News suitably impressed:
If Silva's influence is as strong at Anfield, City will score a major win, one that would serve as a reminder to their rivals that this deep and gifted squad are far from out of the title race.
Christian Eriksen, Tottenham Hotspur
From one brainy schemer to another, Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen must stamp his authority on what is a tricky-looking away trip for title-chasing Spurs. London rivals West Ham United aren't short of brawn and endeavour in midfield, and if they keep Eriksen quiet, the supply line to prolific striker Harry Kane will be cut off.

Eriksen is the vital link whose flair and vision so often creates the chances Kane needs to decide matches. The Dane's five goals and eight assists in the league, per WhoScored.com, have been crucial for Spurs' title challenge.
Those contributions have even prompted Eriksen's famous countryman Brian Laudrup to declare the 24-year-old is good enough to play for Barcelona, according to Omnisport (h/t Goal's Chris Myson).
Eriksen struggled to wriggle free for much of Tottenham's last league game—a narrow 2-1 home win over Swansea City—and the Danish pass-master will have to be cuter about how he finds and exploits space at the Boleyn Ground.
This week's fixtures are set to have a big impact on this unpredictable scrap for the title. Arsenal and City could find themselves back in it, while Spurs can lay down a marker to show how seriously their challenge should be taken.
