Recap

Leonardo Ulloa fired Leicester City one step closer to the Premier League title, finding the net in the dying minutes of the match against Norwich City to push the Foxes' lead to five points in the standings.

Per John Cross of the Daily Mirror, it was a huge win for the hosts:

Leicester were far from their best on Saturday, but they managed to win an ugly, sloppy match against a strong defensive team that put together a solid showing. Those kinds of wins can decide championships, and manager Claudio Ranieri's troops certainly looked like title contenders on Saturday.

With Arsenal visiting Manchester United on Sunday and Tottenham hosting Swansea City, the Foxes have a real chance to force a gap at the top of the standings. In the worst-case scenario, Arsenal beat United, all but handing Leicester City a ticket for next year's UEFA Champions League in the process.

But Ranieri's men will have the Premier League title on their minds after their excellent 2015-16 campaign, and per the BBC (h/t Alex Richards of the Daily Mirror), the Italian said his team is playing with the kind of belief needed to pull through in tough situations:

"

It was a difficult match. Norwich played well, closed the space, but we believed until the end and this victory is very important for us to restart after the Arsenal defeat.

I said before the Arsenal match that Norwich would be more difficult. Both teams could have scored a goal in the final 20 minutes.

Fortunately, it was Leicester who scored a goal at the end of the match.

"

Elsewhere, Cesc Fabregas and Branislav Ivanovic turned around a horrible situation for Chelsea, who beat Southampton 2-1 to keep their chances of qualifying for Europe next season alive.

Shane Long gave the hosts a deserved lead just before half-time, but the Blues put together an improved performance after the break and continued their winning run. Beacher Report's Sam Tighe highlighted Willian as a key player in the comeback:

The Blues have been steadily climbing the standings and suddenly find themselves just five points behind Manchester United, although the Red Devils still have a match in hand. Qualification for next year's Europa League seems likely at this point, and even the top four isn't completely out of the question.

Chelsea still host Manchester City, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur this season, but outside of those three matches, the schedule doesn't look too daunting.

Watford and Bournemouth played out a scoreless draw on Saturday, while Aston Villa's miserable form continued with a 2-1 loss against Stoke City. West Ham United beat Sunderland 1-0, while West Bromwich Albion recorded a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace.
