Recap

Lukasz Piszczek and Marco Reus both scored in a routine win for Dortmund, who barely broke a sweat against Portuguese giants Porto and will fancy their chances when they travel to the Estadio do Dragao for the return leg.

As shared by Squawka Football, Dortmund's famed Yellow Wall looked in fine form ahead of the match:

Die Schwarzgelben have looked excellent on the domestic level the last few weeks and carried a ton of momentum into this match. From the opening whistle, they pushed Porto into their own half, and it took just six minutes for Piszczek to open the scoring.

The full-back worked the ball past Iker Casillas in two tries, heading it over the line while the Spanish goalkeeper was still down from making the initial stop.

Sport Witness' Jan Hagen feared that the Dragons faced a difficult night:

Dortmund pushed for a second goal and pinned Porto back during the first 20 minutes, but despite some superb ball movement and a handful of chances, the visitors stood firm and didn't concede another goal in the first half.

Porto did well to put a foot next to the hosts in the second half, and all of Dortmund held its breath when Reus seemed to go down with yet another ankle injury. The Germany international managed to walk off a horrible challenge from Silvestre Varela and doubled his team's lead minutes later after a sensational passing sequence.

ESPN FC's Stefan Buczko was impressed:

Paul Onuachu scored the winner for Midtjylland, who completed an unlikely comeback against Premier League giants Manchester United. Memphis Depay gave the visitors the lead in the first half, but Danish super-talent Pione Sisto tied things up just before half-time, and the hosts found a deserved winner through Onuachu in the second half.

Backup goalkeeper Sergio Romero was arguably the top performer on the pitch for the visitors, who put together an embarrassing showing against a club with virtually no European experience.

Beyond the Pitch's Pilib de Brun thinks the result should mean the end of manager Louis van Gaal's tenure:

Per Mark Froggatt of United's official website, Van Gaal doesn't think the squad has an attitude problem: “It is nothing to do with attitude. All of the players want to perform in an excellent way so attitude is not the case. We were not winning the second balls. That is my analysis."

Nacer Chadli's penalty goal wasn't enough to see Spurs past Fiorentina, as Federico Bernardeschi tied things up in the second half with a deflected strike. Spurs managed to grab an away goal, however, and will be confident heading into the second leg.

In-form Napoli couldn't get anything done against Villarreal, who grabbed an unlikely win when Denis Suarez curled home a beautiful free-kick with eight minutes left to play, while Fernando Llorente bagged a brace to guide Sevilla past Molde, with Kevin Gameiro putting the 3-0 final score on the board.

During the late matches, Liverpool were held to a scoreless draw by Augsburg, while Gary Neville's Valencia crushed Rapid Wien, winning 6-0. Young forward Santi Mina scored twice, while Alvaro Negredo, Daniel Parejo, Andre Gomes and Rodrigo also found their way to the net.
