Always play to the whistle...

Guatemala went down 2-1 to Trinidad and Tobago in women's Olympic qualifying on Thursday, but there was more than a hint of controversy over their opener.

A bizarre penalty was awarded in the 16th minute when a Trinidad and Tobago defender took matters into her own handsliterallywhen deciding that her side should have been awarded a goal-kick.

Ana Lucia Martinez converted from the spot, but goals in the 74th and 78th minutes would seal a come-from-behind win for the Caribbean side.
