Brandon Sherrod Sets NCAA Record with 30 Consecutive Made Field Goals
Yale Bulldogs forward Brandon Sherrod set a new NCAA record on Friday against the Columbia Lions by making his 30th consecutive field goal.
Sherrod began the streak Jan. 16, breaking Torian Oglesby's record set back in 2011-12.
Sherrod set the new record at the 12-minute, 43-second mark in the first half on an uncontested layup that cut Columbia's early lead to 13-12.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Adam Zagoria of SNY set the scene as the three-week-long streak came to an end:
NCAA director of media coordination David Worlock shared his thoughts:
In the process of putting up a record that spanned the course of five games, Sherrod put together his highest-scoring outputs of the season. He scored a season-high 24 points on 9-of-9 shooting and missed only two free throws against Brown.
He followed that up by putting up back-to-back 19-point performances against Penn and Princeton, which helped the Bulldogs extend their winning streak to eight games and open Ivy League play at 4-0.
Though he went 14-of-26 from the free-throw line during the streak, to make 30 consecutive baskets is an impressive accomplishment. He even stepped away from basketball last year to join an all-male a capella group, and Sherrod is responding with the best season of his college career in 2015-16, averaging 11.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
Sherrod can now sing his way into the record books, and no one can take that away from him.
