Notre Dame Football Brings Equipment Truck to 5-Star WR Recruit's House
As the old saying goes, "Go big or go home."
Trying to land a top recruit, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish made sure to pull out all the stops during their visit to 5-star (per 247Sports) wide receiver recruit Demetris Robertson.
How big did the Fighting Irish go? They brought their 18-wheel equipment truck all the way to Robertson's home in Savannah, Georgia.

According to Google Maps (h/t USA Today's FTW), it would take more than 13 hours to make the 900-mile drive from South Bend, Indiana, to Savannah. It's a good thing gas is fairly cheap these days.
It's tactics like this that leave a great impression on a recruit. To say that the Savannah Christian Preparatory School senior was surprised to see the truck in his neighborhood would be an understatement.
"I'm still smiling," Robertson said, per Tom VanHaaren of ESPN.com. "I couldn't believe it, I'm still shocked. I didn't get a chance to see what was in it because I had to hurry off to school."
That reaction certainly lets Notre Dame know it was worth the time and money to drive the truck all the way to Georgia. At this point in the recruiting process, every little thing helps.
