Wednesday Recap
Key men were on the bench for both teams at Leicester, including strikers Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy.
The Foxes made the better start, Spurs' defence looking a little shaky early on.
However, it was the vistors who got the best early chance—Erik Lamela's header over the bar—before Son broke the deadlock with a wonder strike in the 39th minute.
The South Korean drove towards the Leicester defence down the right channel and unleashed a thunderbolt from the edge of the box that flew past goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, per BT Sport Football:
Spurs were much more comfortable after the break, Christian Eriksen looking particularly good on the ball.
The hosts had intermittent forays forward. But Tottenham dominated, and 60th-minute substitute Kane forced a decent save out of Schmeichel with one of his first touches.
Chadli effectively put the game to bed in the 66th minute, when he made it 2-0 with an easy finish from the left coming after Son's defence-splitting ball.
Kane forced another save soon after as the game became stretched with the hosts looking for a way back in.
The late introduction of Vardy had little effect, but Marc Albrighton forced an impressive save from Michel Vorm as he drove a strike goalwards from the right of the box.
Spurs saw out the win with ease and march on to the next round, while Leicester are now left with their league ambitions to focus on.

Liverpool dominated proceedings on Merseyside. Allen got the first goal in the 10th minute, tapping home in the six-yard box after a terrific cutback from Brad Smith.
Christian Benteke should have made it 2-0 soon after, but the Belgian headed a close-range effort over the bar, with Cameron Brannagan then forcing Exeter goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik into a save just before the half-hour.
Liverpool could not force in another goal before half-time despite numerous efforts, but the visitors were not threatening at all.
Soon after the break, the Reds welcomed back Jon Flanagan after a lengthy injury layoff, per Squawka Football:
But it was another substitute, Ojo, who claimed the nerve-relieving goal for the Reds as he converted a superb chip on his Anfield debut to score his first goal for the club.
Per James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo, it was a decisive moment:
In the 81st minute, Teixeira slotted home after terrific work from Benteke to seal a deservedly convincing win for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's side.
