Arsenal, Manchester City Lead the 2015 Premier League Table; Aston Villa 18th

Joe GallagherDec 31, 2015

Aston Villa fans cannot wait for 2015 to end.

In the interesting yet totally irrelevant Premier League table for the 2015 calendar year, Villa are 18th, below Watford despite having played twice as many games.

Remi Garde's side boast a six-win, seven-draw and 25-loss record over the course of the year, two wins fewer than the newly promoted Hornets.

It's happy reading for Arsenal, who lead Manchester City at the top by nine points, having won 25 of their 38 games across the year.

Leicester City edge Manchester United and Liverpool in fourth place, while 2014-15 champions Chelsea lie below Crystal Palace in 8th.

Manuel Pellegrini's City have been the year's highest scorers, while relegated Burnley (with just 14) are the lowest.

Aston Villa and Newcastle have the leakiest defences in the year, both conceding 69 times, while the Gunners are the stingiest of all the teams to have played 38 games in the top flight in 2015.

The signs are looking promising for Arsene Wenger's side.
