Duke Wins 1st Bowl Game in 54 Years After Indiana Misses FG at End of OT

With the Pinstripe Bowl on the line in overtime, Hoosiers kicker Griffin Oakes attempted a 38-yard field goal that was ruled no good. If you take a look at the replay, though, the call could have gone either way, as The Cauldron pointed out:
Interesting. Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star noted Oakes and punter Erich Toth were "furious," as they thought the field goal "was good":
Both teams celebrated as if they had won the game, but it was Duke that emerged as the official winner by a score of 44-41. CBS Sports CFB highlighted the fact that the Hoosiers were "stunned" by the ruling:
