Punter Turns 20p into £40,000 by Cashing out of Seven-Way Football Accumulator
Sorry, fortunate Leicester City fan, but you've been outdone.
One punter in his 30s managed to turn 20p into £39,933.43 with a seven-way accumulator over the weekend and an inspired late decision not to back Aston Villa to win a game of football, reports the Mirror.
After the first six of the bets had gone his way on Saturday, a BetVictor wager on Villa winning for the first time since the opening day was no longer worth the risk and the punter cashed out to earn a little under £40,000.

It was a good move, too, with Newcastle holding Remi Garde's side to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
BetVictor spokesperson Charlie McCann was impressed by the gamble:
"The lucky punter certainly had Saturday’s 3pm kick-offs shot to pieces successfully predicting Palace to win 2-1 at Stoke, Norwich to win at Man United, Bournemouth to win 2-1 at West Brom, Leicester to win & both teams to score at Goodison, Spurs to win 2-0 at St Mary’s, and over 2.5 goals in the Chelsea vs Sunderland game.
Those selections were brilliant, but the decision to cash out our offer of nearly £40k ahead of Villa’s trip to St James’s Park was inspired, as the Midlands club never looked like taking all three points against Newcastle.
What a Christmas present; £40,000 from a 20p losing bet!
