It would be accurate to deem 2015 as the season of the running back, especially since Stanfordโs Christian McCaffrey was a Heisman Trophy finalist and only made the first team as a kick returner. Florida Stateโs Dalvin Cook, LSUโs Leonard Fournette and Alabamaโs Derrick Henry, who won the Heisman, made the first-team backfield instead of McCaffrey.

Clemsonโs Deshaun Watson was the first-team quarterback, while Oklahomaโs Baker Mayfield was the second-team representative. The two signal-callers are set to face off in the Orange Bowl with a spot in the national championship on the line.
The FWAA gave Watson the first-team nod, but both quarterbacks would likely rather have a victory on New Yearโs Eve.
