Alexis Sanchez Named FSF Player of the Year 2015: Latest Details and Reaction
Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been voted Player of the Year for 2015 by the Football Supporters’ Federation.
Per the Press Association (via the Guardian), Sanchez has netted 20 goals and won the FA Cup in his first full calendar year as a Gunners player, and he expressed his delight at receiving the award:
"I’m delighted to receive the FSF Player of the Year award. Personally, it’s been a great 2015 for me on the pitch with both my club and country.
Arsenal have enjoyed a good start to the season and it was disappointing to pick up an injury. But I’m hoping to be back soon to help my team-mates have another successful year.

The 26-year-old Chilean—who joined Arsenal from Barcelona in July 2014—bested Jamie Vardy, Sergio Aguero, David De Gea, Harry Kane and John Stones in the fans' vote.
He has settled brilliantly in the Premier League and is unquestionably one of Arsenal's key players and one of the best in the league.
The 2014-15 campaign saw Sanchez net 16 times in the league and score a stunner in Arsenal's 4-0 defeat of Aston Villa in May's FA Cup final, and he has already notched up six goals in the new Premier League season, per WhoScored.com.
He also played a key role for the Chilean national team as they won the Copa America over the summer, per Coral:
However, he is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and is not expected to return until late December at the earliest, per Steve Stammers in the Mirror.
This is a big blow for Arsenal, as the packed Christmas schedule is often the key period in determining the Premier League winner. They also face an all-or-nothing Champions League clash with Olympiakos on Wednesday.
In Sanchez's absence, the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Joel Campbell will have to step up their performances to ensure Arsenal remain in the title race.
