Philadelphia Honors Kobe Bryant with Video, HS Jersey Before Sixers-Lakers Game
Every team will lay out the red carpet for Kobe Bryant when the retiring Los Angeles Lakers superstar plays in its arena for the last time.
The Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night produced a unique tribute to the Mamba, who went to Lower Merion High School just outside the City of Brotherly Love.
Before the 0-18 Sixers took the floor against the 2-14 Lakers, the team played a cool video honoring Bryant.
"You'll always be that kid from Philly. And we knew you before the world did," the narrator said.
NBA legend Julius Erving and Lower Merion coach Gregg Downer presented Bryant with a framed high school jersey:
