Bayern Munich vs. Olympiakos: Score, Reaction from 2015 Champions League Match
Bayern Munich scored early. They scored often. They even scored after going down to 10 men when Holger Badstuber was shown a red card in the second half. And by the time the final whistle had blown, they had scored four times in a 4-0 drubbing of Olympiakos at Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
Douglas Costa, Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman all scored for Bayern Munich in the convincing win that saw the Germans hold 67 percent of possession and outshoot the Greek side, 19-8 (8-0 on goal), per WhoScored.com.
The German side again looked like the top club in the world outside of perhaps only Barcelona. As Cristian Nyari of FCB Media noted, it's "pretty clear that right now Bayern and Barca are a cut above the rest in Europe. It's not that Real Madrid, Roma, Dortmund, Porto, Olympiakos, etc. are poor, it's just that Bayern and Barca are just so dominant right now."

Ives Galarcep of Soccer by Ives concurred, wondering, "Can we fast-forward to the inevitable Barcelona/Bayern Champions League final?"
It took just eight minutes for the Germans to strike. Olympiakos 'keeper Roberto Gago saved Jerome Boateng's long-range effort, but Costa was there to scoop up the rebound, take a dribble to his left and rip a low howler past Gago for the game's first goal.
Fox Soccer shared the tally:
Eight minutes later, Robert Lewandowski doubled the lead. Coman attempted what looked like a shot but instead was sent directly into the path of Lewandowski at the edge of the box. The 27-year-old then calmly set his feet and expertly placed his shot into the corner.
The goal continued Lewandowski's torrid scoring pace this season and caused Ed Malyon of the Mirror to wonder if he is the best at his position at the moment:
Four minutes later, a nice piece of buildup play led to Muller's goal. Philipp Lahm's cross in the box was met by Coman's right foot on the volley, though, he didn't make full contact, and his effort went wide of the goal. Arjen Robben was there to meet it, however, heading back across the face of goal to Muller, who easily tapped home the game's third goal:
As Nyari noted, either Lewandowski or Muller has scored in 19 of Bayern's 21 games this season. The pair have developed into one of the most dynamic attacking duos in club football.
The going got a little easier for Olympiakos after Badstuber was shown red for a foul on Brown Ideye outside of the box. The Greek side couldn't convert the free-kick, however.
Badstuber, who got his first start for the club since April, will now miss Bayern's next Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb, though the Germans have already clinched a place in the knockout phase and won their group, making that game meaningless.
Nonetheless, it certainly wasn't Badstuber's finest moment, as Bleacher Report UK tweeted:
Coman would then make it 4-0 in the 70th minute. A lofted pass over the top of the Olympiakos defense found Muller's head, but he didn't get full power on his effort, instead sending it sideways, where Coman was in position to head it home himself.
Muller nearly made it a 5-0 advantage late, but he hit the post after slipping behind the defense and rounding the 'keeper.
Post-Match Reaction
After the match, manager Pep Guardiola was pleased with his team's performance, per the club:
He also addressed Robben, who had to be substituted in the first half.
"He didn't have the best feeling," Guardiola said, per the club. "He made the right decision. I don't think it's a big problem."
Goalscorer Lewandowski also was glad to see his side advance to the knockout phase:
Olympiakos manager Marco Silva was realistic about his team's performance, meanwhile:
While Bayern's place in the knockout phase is assured, Olympiakos now face a vital Matchday 6 contest against Arsenal. A win or a draw will see the Greeks through to the round of 16, though if Arsenal beat Olympiakos by two or more goals, the Gunners will advance to the knockout phase.
