Recap

Luis Suarez, Neymar and Andres Iniesta were on point during Saturday's Clasico, scoring the four goals to hand Los Blancos an embarrassing loss at home. Real finished the match with 10 men, as Isco was handed a deserved straight red card for a blatant kick on Neymar.

The hosts were dominated from start to finish, and the final score was a proper reflection of what happened on the pitch. Real had their chances, but Claudio Bravo put in a superb performance, one of many for the Blaugrana.

ESPN FC's Paul Mariner and Alexis Nunes broke down what went wrong for Los Blancos:

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale were both virtually invisible, but Barcelona's advantage was most visible in midfield, where Sergi Roberto and Sergio Busquets both looked fantastic.

As reported by Goal's Stephen Darwin, manager Rafa Benitez took responsibility after the match, acknowledging he picked the wrong starting XI:

"

It has not gone as we wanted. We wanted to push, attack, get the ball fast. We have made some mistakes and we have paid for it. We wanted players of quality and experience. After the game, I must say I chose the wrong XI. This group has the quality to do it better than we did. We are all responsible and we must find a reaction.

"

As shared by beIN Sports, fans of the club are already calling for his head, just a few months into his tenure as Real manager:

Lionel Messi celebrated his return to the pitch with a second-half cameo, and with the star forward set to return to form, Barcelona look ready to run away with the La Liga title once again. The emergence of Roberto in particular has the team looking as strong as ever, while Real have some questions to answer.

Imanol Agirretxe and Xabi Prieto made sure new Real Sociedad manager Eusebio Sacristan was victorious on his debut, shocking Sevilla 2-0 at the Anoeta. Footy Accumulators didn't really understand the result:

Both teams played a sloppy match, with most of the danger coming in the second half. The loss is already Sevilla's fifth of the season, and the Europa League winners face a real battle as they chase European football for next season.

Nolito missed a penalty in Celta Vigo's 2-0 loss against Deportivo La Coruna, where Lucas Perez gave Deportivo a first-half lead and Jonny completed the nightmare evening with an own-goal near the final whistle.

Valencia struggled to a 1-1 draw at home against Las Palmas, with Jonathan Viera canceling out Paco Alcacer's opener.

It was yet another disappointing result for Valencia, who are quickly losing ground in the race for a Champions League spot.

Andrew Gaffney of Yahoo Sport UK reminded the Valencia fans that the young team is still developing and not expected to be spectacular every single week:

The hosts looked very poor on Saturday, however, and against a team as lowly as Las Palmas, that's inexcusable.

Hernan Perez scored twice in the first 20 minutes to hand Espanyol a 2-0 win over Malaga, ensuring the visitors remain in the relegation zone.
