French Ligue 1 Games Will Be Played Without Away Fans After Paris Terror Attacks
French sports minister Patrick Kanner has confirmed Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 games will go ahead as scheduled this weekend, but away fans will not be permitted entry due to concerns over security.
BBC Sport reported on Tuesday that French league games would still be played after 129 people were killed during the attacks in Paris on Nov. 13. Kanner stated, per the Associated Press: "Obviously the league took measures to secure all professional matches and the state will use its powers of policing to guarantee security."

The report comes after it was decided England and France would continue their planned friendly fixture on Tuesday evening, and UEFA announced France would not lose hosting rights for Euro 2016, per BBC Sport.
Bleacher Report's Jonathan Johnson reported all Ligue 1 grounds would sing the French national anthem as a sign of solidarity in the wake of last Friday's events in the capital:
The Stade de France was one of the venues targeted by bombers last week, where France were playing host to Germany in an international friendly. As a result, many sport fixtures over the weekend were postponed.
Refusing entry to away fans may not eliminate the threat of terror, but Ligue 1 grounds across France will nonetheless resume normal action in response to those who would see their freedom prohibited.
