Osweiler's Health Vital to Broncos After Manning's Injury
After sitting behind a legend in Peyton Manning for multiple years, Osweiler has been pushed into duty due to Manning's foot injury. The 2012 second-round pick is in a difficult spot—he'll be a free agent this offseason and has been charged with taking the reins of a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Rookie seventh-round pick Trevor Siemian is the only other quarterback on the roster, which is troubling to ponder if Osweiler aggravates the injury.
During his senior year at Northwestern, Siemian threw only seven touchdowns to 11 interceptions. Turnovers have been a problem for Denver's offense in 2015, so the hope is that Osweiler can manage the pain and continue to keep the Broncos on a path toward a potential Super Bowl appearance.
