Slovenia vs. Ukraine: Date, Live Stream, TV Info for Euro 2016 Play-off Leg 2
Ukraine are just 90 minutes away from qualifying for UEFA Euro 2016, with only Tuesday’s trip to Slovenia standing between them and a place in the finals in France.
Mykhaylo Fomenko’s men eased to a 2-0 victory in the first leg courtesy of goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Yevhen Seleznyov, and they’re now tasked with finishing the job in Maribor.
Slovenia have nothing to lose, though, and they will come into Tuesday’s clash knowing that only attacking football will keep their qualification hopes alive.

Ukraine Looking to Get Over the Line

Ukraine have always been tough. They’re organised, disciplined and lethal going forward—a lesson Slovenia learned harshly on Saturday.
Srecko Katanec’s side simply had no answer to their hosts, who could have easily won the game in Lviv by four or five goals. Here's a look at the highlights from the opening leg:
The front three of Seleznyov, Yarmolenko and Yevhen Konoplyanka caused nightmares for the Slovenian defence, with journalist and statistician Samuel heaping praise on the latter duo:
Yet, despite the fact that 2-0 seems a dominant lead heading into the second leg, this will feel all too familiar for Ukraine.
Almost two years ago to the day, Ukraine went into their FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifying play-off second leg against France with a 2-0 lead, only to lose 3-0 in Paris and be left to endure a quiet summer.
With that in mind, Fomenko has urged his players to remain calm until the job is done, per FourFourTwo:
"We have won the first half of our tie, and I am delighted with the clean sheet, but now we should prepare for the second. Tuesday's game will be the final decisive one.
It's a bit disappointing that we didn't get the third goal, but saying that we didn't concede either.
Now we need to calm down. Our players know what they have to do in the second leg.
"

Granted, France are a different animal than Slovenia, but the tactics in Paris on that fateful November 2014 night were all wrong and played into French hands.
This time around, you can expect Fomenko’s men to go about their business in a much more disciplined fashion, with Yarmolenko and Konoplyanka ready to catch the hosts on the break.

Despite Ukraine’s dominance in the opening leg, Slovenia did have chances to get on the scoreboard; Josip Ilicic squandered the pick of their chances in the first half.
That much has given Katanec some optimism going into Tuesday’s clash, and he said that home advantage could prove all-important in their quest for qualification, per FourFourTwo:
"It was very disappointing that we missed all our chances, particularly one at the start of the game.
However, we still have the second leg so this is not the end of our campaign. We still have to play at home and our fate remains in our hands.
We will try to produce our best football at home and will try to secure a result.
"

Securing a result will undoubtedly prove tricky against the stubborn Ukrainians, who can book their tickets to the Euros if they get their tactics right.
Slovenia will put up a fight, but the quality in Ukraine’s ranks is likely to shine through.
Prediction: Slovenia 1-2 Ukraine
