The game is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. (3 p.m. ET) at Wembley Stadium.
FA Chairman Greg Dyke spoke about the decision to play the match on the governing body's official website:
"Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the city of Paris after these terrible atrocities. On behalf of The FA, I want to express our sorrow and send our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of those who have lost their lives.
After consulting this morning with the French Football Federation and the British Government, we have decided together that the match between our two countries at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night should go ahead. We will use the opportunity to pay our respects to all affected and also to express our solidarity with the people of France.

The French capital suffered the attacks during the national side's friendly with Germany, and the game's Stade de France venue was also targeted, as reported by CNN's Steve Almasy, Pierre Meilhan and Jim Bittermann.
BBC Sport confirmed several sporting fixtures have been cancelled in France due to the tragic events, and European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup matches have been postponed.

France defeated Germany in their game, beating the world champions 2-0.
England lost their friendly with Spain on Friday, defeated 2-0 by the reigning European champions in Alicante.
