Antoine Griezmann's Sister Escapes Terrorist Attack at Bataclan Concert Hall
Atletico Madrid and France forward Antoine Griezmann's sister was able to escape the Bataclan theatre, which was targeted as part of Friday's attacks in Paris.
Griezmann was playing for the French national team against Germany at the Stade de France, where attacks were also carried out. As reported by Aaron Flanagan of the Daily Mirror, many lost their lives as part of the violence, with the majority of casualties coming after a hostage situation at the Bataclan.
Griezmann took to Twitter to express his grief at the attacks on his country and thanked God his sibling was able to make it out of the theatre alive:

“Big thought for the victims of the attacks,” said Griezmann, whose comments have been translated in Flanagan's piece. “God takes care of my sister and the French. Thank God my sister was able to exit the Bataclan. All my prayers go to the victims and their families.”
According to the BBC, some of those at the concert hall were taken hostage as gunmen seized the building. Elsewhere, it’s claimed there were attacks on five other areas throughout the city, as civilians were shot at in restaurants and bars.

Per ESPN FC, police union officials have claimed two suicide bombings took place outside the stadium as Griezmann and his team-mates took on Germany. After the game had finished, spectators initially remained inside the venue and poured on to the pitch.
Shockingly, the explosions could be heard during the game, as relayed by Vine (Warning: Contents of video may be disturbing to some viewers):
As a result of the attacks, all sporting events have been postponed in the French capital over the weekend, as relayed by Flanagan.
