A 2018 World Cup qualifier, the matchup features two of the top 10 teams in the world. Argentina are ranked third, while Brazil are eighth.
Argentina have been struggling, though, with losses to Chile in the Copa America final and Ecuador to open their World Cup qualifying campaign. Argentina sit in eighth out of 10 teams in the CONMEBOL standings.
According to Fox Sports' Jonathan Wilson, they will also be without the injured Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Pablo Zabaleta and Ezequiel Garay, all of whom are vital members of the side.
Brazil picked up a nervy win over Venezuela to go with a loss to Chile in their opening qualifiers. But with two famous sides that pack plenty of talent, a scintillating match awaits once the weather clears up in Argentina.
The squads will face off on Friday at 7 p.m. ET, according to Yahoo Soccer.
