The second division side made the announcement at 11:11 a.m. on November 11, a nod to the legendary Miura's squad number.
Miura holds the record as the oldest goalscorer in Japanese football thanks to his goal in June at the age of 48 years and four months. He made his professional debut in 1986, some six years before the birth of Neymar.
He also has a fairly clinical record with the Japanese national side, having scored 55 goals in 89 appearances for Japan.
