Belgium have progressed hugely in the past few years as a generation of stars, including Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany, has emerged.
FourFourTweet charted their impressive rise up the rankings since they dropped down as low as 71st in 2007:
Wales dropped out of the top 10 to 15th, having reached an all-time high of eighth in October, while Roy Hodgson's England side rose one place into ninth.
Per FIFA, Austria now sit higher than they have ever done before after their one-place shift into 10th.
The Netherlands' fall down the rankings continued, as they dropped from 14th to 16th having lost to the Czech Republic in October and failed to qualify for next year's European Championship in France.
Northern Ireland moved up six places to 29th, and the Republic of Ireland moved up 12 to 42nd ahead of their imminent Euro 2016 play-off against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Scotland dropped four places to 44th.
The biggest movers were Chad—up 39 places to 136th—and Sudan, who dropped 44 spots and are now placed 128th.
