Premier League Table: Final Week 11 2015 Standings, Results and Week 12 Fixtures
Aston Villa lost to Tottenham Hotspur in front of their new boss Remi Garde at White Hart Lane on Monday to ensure the Midlands club remain anchored to the bottom of the Premier League table at the end of Week 11.
Earlier in the weekend, Liverpool piled more pressure on Jose Mourinho and Chelsea by dispatching the Blues 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, while Manchester City and Arsenal kept pace with each other by beating Norwich City and Swansea City respectively.
Leicester City continued their remarkable run of form with a 3-2 win over West Bromwich Albion, meaning they leapfrogged Manchester United into third place after the Red Devils could only draw with Crystal Palace.

Week 11 Review
A renewed sense of optimism was felt by Villa fans on Monday after the club announced on their official website the confirmation former Lyon boss Garde was appointed as manager, but their defeat to Spurs highlights the difficulty the Frenchman faces in turning things around at his new side.
Villa conceded the first goal inside three minutes after Mousa Dembele raced into the area and held off Ciaran Clark before slipping the ball between Brad Guzan's legs at the near post.

Scott Sinclair forced a smart save from Hugo Lloris and Guzan was called into action once again to deny Harry Kane, but there were precious few chances otherwise in the first half until Dele Alli doubled the hosts' lead on the stroke of half-time with a well-struck volley. Squawka Football shared the stats:
Spurs continued their overall dominance in the second half as Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela enjoyed some half-chances, while Villa looked incapable of threatening them.
Unchallenged, the hosts lacked urgency though and offered Villa a lifeline with just over 10 minutes of normal time remaining. Shortly after Leandro Bacuna had hit the post, Jordan Ayew pulled one back for the visitors with the help of a fortuitous deflection.
Villa fought hard for the first time in the match as they pushed for an equaliser but were caught on the break late on when Kane ruthlessly finished off a counter-attack led by Christian Eriksen and Lamela.

With Manchester City looming in Week 12, Garde faces a real baptism of fire with his new club, though the international break after that will give him time to work with his new side.
The result leaves Villa consigned to the bottom of the table for at least another week, despite Sunderland's thrashing at the hands of Everton.
The Black Cats had fought back well after Gerard Deulofeu and Arouna Kone's first-half goals were cancelled out by Jermain Defoe and Steven Fletcher, but three goals in seven second-half minutes saw them capitulate as Sebastian Coates scored an own goal before Romelu Lukaku and Kone found the net.

Kone completed his hat-trick after 76 minutes with a header. Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce unsurprisingly insisted his players must improve defensively with the defeat ensuring his side have the worst record in the league with 25 goals conceded. Per BBC Sport's Alistair Magowan, he said:
"The defensive frailties were just too much today and we allowed Everton to win the game comfortably in the end. If we don't sort those out, it will be a long haul over the next few months or so.
I don't understand why they did it. We came here to look after Everton and we didn't play too bad in the first half at all, and for us to get it back to 2-2, that should be enough for us today. We needed to make sure Everton just couldn't score but we made it so easy for them to score three in seven minutes.
"
Fellow strugglers Newcastle United were unlucky not to come away with a vital win that would have lifted them out of the bottom three, but try as they might, they could not overcome Stoke City 'keeper Jack Butland.
The 22-year-old made six saves in an excellent performance, prompting former Stoke star Danny Higginbotham to sing his praises and Sky Sports to compare him with England No. 1 Joe Hart:
Manchester United's trip to Selhurst Park also ended goalless, but it was the Eagles who were much the better side.
The draw is United's third 0-0 in a row, and worryingly for Red Devils fans, it's symptomatic of their inability to create chances, with Squawka Football noting they have created the fewest in the entire league.
Football writer Liam Canning didn't mince his words in his damning assessment of the performance:
United's rivals Manchester City overcame a late scare to beat Norwich 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium. The Sky Blues were looking good for three points thanks to Nicolas Otamendi's header, but with just seven minutes of normal time remaining, Hart disastrously dropped the ball at Cameron Jerome's feet for the striker to tap in.

However, Russell Martin was then sent off for handling a goal-bound effort inside the area and Yaya Toure converted the resulting penalty to seal the win for City, who also earned another late penalty only for Aleksandar Kolarov to send his spot-kick well wide.
Goals from Steven Davis and Graziano Pelle inflicted Bournemouth's third consecutive defeat on the Cherries, who were unable to find a way back into the match despite Victor Wanyama's second-half sending-off for two bookable offences.
Odion Ighalo continued his remarkable run of form by bagging a brace for Watford as they impressively saw off West Ham United. The Nigerian now has seven goals and two assists to his name in the Premier League.

Another striker in red-hot form is Leicester's Jamie Vardy, who found the net for the 11th time this campaign. West Brom took the lead through Salomon Rondon, but a trademark comeback from the Foxes saw Riyad Mahrez bag a brace before Vardy added a third.
A late Rickie Lambert penalty ensured a tense finish, but Leicester held on for their sixth win of the season.
Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Joel Campbell gave Arsenal a comfortable win over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium, keeping them level on points with Manchester City. Mesut Ozil was again instrumental thanks to two assists, with Squawka Football demonstrating his impressive contribution to the Gunners:
It's perhaps slightly too early for Arsenal fans to get carried away just yet—they've shown time and again the ability to put impressive runs of form together but haven't been able to sustain them into a season-long title challenge.
However, the Gunners are continuing to impress, and having conceded just 20 goals in 2015—fewer than any other Premier League side—there are signs emerging that this season could be the one Arsenal fans have been waiting on for 11 years.
