Andre McGee Resigns as UMKC Assistant Amid Louisville Investigation
Andre McGee, the former Louisville graduate assistant coach who is a key figure in the alleged prostitution scandal facing the Cardinals basketball program, has left his job at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
According to ESPN.com's Jeff Goodman, UMKC announced McGee's resignation from his position as an assistant coach.
In a letter McGee wrote to UMKC athletic director Carla Wilson, via Fox4KC.com, the now-former assistant said he is unable to devote his full attention to the program at this time.

"The university deserves a full-time assistant coach and I am not able to provide that to the basketball team while the false allegations against me are being investigated," McGee wrote.
On Tuesday, Goodman and John Barr reported on ESPN's Outside the Lines that five former Louisville players and recruits claimed they had attended parties that included strippers paid for by McGee.
Louisville head basketball coach Rick Pitino told ESPN and Yahoo Sports earlier in the week he hoped McGee would come forward with his side of the story, also saying he doesn't know if any of the accusations levied against his program are true.
McGee has been at UMKC since 2014, serving as an assistant under head coach Kareem Richardson.
