2016 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Week 4 1st-Round Predictions for All Prospects
Week 4 of the NFL season is almost in the books, and more than a handful of fanbases are already looking ahead to the 2016 NFL draft.
Obviously the draft order is a very fluid situation, so don't worry yourself too much with the order portrayed in this week's mock draft.
But while the draft order may be in flux, a number of prospects have already solidified themselves among the elite in this year's draft class.

2. San Francisco 49ers: DL Joey Bosa

The 49ers defense took a major hit this past season due to retirements and the off-field issues of Aldon Smith, who is now in Oakland.
While Bosa doesn't fit perfectly into the 49ers' current scheme, he's arguably the best defensive player in the nation and the type of guy you can build a defense around.
Bosa would fit best in a J.J. Watt-type role as a hybrid lineman who adjusts his positioning based on running or passing situations.
San Francisco defensive coordinator Eric Mangini has experience developing such hybrid schemes, which he learned under Bill Belichick in New England, and could certainly develop a role in which Bosa could excel.
4. Chicago Bears: QB Jared Goff

New coaches almost always want new quarterbacks early in their tenure, so the marriage of Jay Cutler and John Fox isn't likely to last beyond the 2015 season.
The majority of hyped-up quarterback prospects have flopped—most notably Ohio State's Cardale Jones and Penn State's Christian Hackenberg—and their struggles have allowed Goff to rise to the top.
While Goff lacks the elite physical tools of some others in this class, his accuracy and all-around consistency make him the safest bet.
It would be tough to imagine the Bears not hitting the reset button with a new quarterback if they land near the top of the draft and Goff is on the board.
12. St. Louis Rams: QB Connor Cook

Connor Cook continues to make mistakes and is clearly not an elite quarterback prospect, but it's difficult to imagine an NFL team not taking a chance on his raw talent somewhere in the middle of the first round.
At times, Cook has shown the ability to make every throw on the field, and there are only so many quarterbacks entering each draft with those types of skills. As a result, someone is going to overlook his inconsistencies and try to mold him into a more reliable quarterback in the pros.

The Rams are a candidate to gamble on Cook, especially if Nick Foles is unable to make significant strides throughout the 2015 season.
It's also possible that head coach Jeff Fisher and the current Rams regime could view Cook as a way to extend their stay in St. Louis (or Los Angeles). Fisher has failed to take the next step with the Rams, but drafting a young quarterback would buy him a few more years of rebuilding.
14. Indianapolis Colts: RB Ezekiel Elliott

The Colts have to find a way to support Andrew Luck. The revolving door of running backs in Indianapolis has not been the answer.
Frank Gore has had some moments this season, but he clearly isn't the long-term answer due to his age.

Elliott has been the most dominant draft-eligible running back in the nation this season, and would probably be an upgrade in Indianapolis if he showed up tomorrow.
There's been a shortage of running backs with Elliott's combination of size and athleticism entering the league in recent years, so the Colts will be one of multiple teams interested in securing his services early in the draft.
