Barclays Premier League Table: 2015 EPL Roundup After Week 7 Saturday Results
North London had plenty of reasons to celebrate on Saturday, as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were the big winners of Week 7 of the 2015-16 Premier League season. The Gunners recorded a 5-2 win over Leicester City, with Alexis Sanchez scoring a hat-trick, while Spurs shocked former league-leaders Manchester City, winning 4-1.
Manchester United are the new leaders after a 3-0 win over Sunderland, while Liverpool survived a scare against Aston Villa, winning 3-2. Meanwhile, Chelsea escaped with a 2-2 draw against Newcastle United, having trailed for much of the match.

Things looked to be running smoothly for Manchester City when Kevin De Bruyne gave the Citizens the lead at White Hart Lane, but Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane and Erik Lamela turned around the situation for Spurs, leading the hosts to a 4-1 win.
As shared by BBC Radio 5 Live's Dan Walker, Kane was one of many star forwards to score his first goal of the season on Saturday:
Joe Hart and Vincent Kompany were both absent for City, and it showed. Defensively, the visitors failed to communicate and looked out of sorts throughout the match, allowing Spurs far too much space to exploit.
City's struggles shouldn't take away from what was a wonderful performance from Tottenham, however. Dier told Spurs TV he and his team-mates made a statement, via the club's official Twitter account:
Meanwhile, Sanchez gave the other half of north London reason to celebrate, scoring his first goal of the season and adding to more in Arsenal's 5-2 win over Leicester City. Jamie Vardy opened the score and doubled his tally late, but his performance was overshadowed by that of the Chilean.
Sanchez wasn't the only Gunner to make an impression. Mesut Ozil continued his remarkable form in midfield, Theo Walcott was a handful up front and Hector Bellerin bounced back from a shaky opening 20 minutes to put in a very strong performance.

To their credit, the Foxes gave Arsenal a real challenge, and the Gunners' one-goal lead at half-time perhaps wasn't deserved. But the pure quality of Arsenal's top stars shone through in the end, and with Sanchez looking like himself again, things are looking bright for the Gunners.
Arsenal's next opponents will be Manchester United, who beat Sunderland 3-0 to become the new Premier League leaders. The Red Devils looked sluggish in the first half but much improved after the break, with Memphis Depay, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata taking care of the scoring.
United were far from their best, but per the Times' James Ducker, they didn't have to be:
Both the Red Devils and the Gunners are trending in the right direction, so next week's clash should be a cracker. Momentum seems to be on Arsenal's side, but United have won three in a row―don't sleep on the visitors.
Daniel Sturridge scored twice to guide Liverpool to a 3-2 win over Aston Villa, who fought back and nearly secured a point thanks to two goals from Rudy Gestede.
Similar to United, the Reds didn't produce their best football but did just enough to preserve the win. Sturridge was the big hero with two goals while James Milner also bagged his first for the club.
Afterwards, manager Brendan Rodgers had some choice words for some of his critics, via Andy Kelly of the Liverpool Echo:
Chelsea seemed destined to suffer another loss when Georginio Wijnaldum gave Newcastle United a two-goal lead over the Blues, with Ayoze scoring the first, but Ramires and Willian saved the defending champions from a dreadful result, scoring twice inside the final 20 minutes.
While the Blues did well to salvage a point, the Independent's Miguel Delaney still didn't like their effort:
Southampton cruised to an easy 3-1 win over Swansea City, and the Swans only got on the board late thanks to a penalty from Gylfi Sigurdsson. Virgil van Dijk opened the score early, and Sadio Mane and Dusan Tadic scored in quick succession early in the second half to all but put the match on ice.
Jonathan Walters continued his fine form and Mame Biram Diouf scored a late winner to give Stoke City a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, who looked to be on the verge of stealing a point when Dan Gosling equalised late in the second half.
West Ham United and Norwich City shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw, with Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho scoring for the hosts and Nathan Redmond and Robert Brady doing the same for the visitors.
