Mane Injured in Watford Clash

The news was confirmed by Southampton's official Twitter feed, which provided minute-by-minute updates of the match.

In light of Manchester United's reported interest in the winger, the Daily Mail's Sam Cunningham tweeted: "Mane off down the tunnel now. End of his game. [Ronald] Koeman hoping for a 10-day injury."

However, Sky Sports reported the injury as being a concussion, making it unlikely to be an issue should United pursue the 23-year-old before the end of the transfer window.

If the Senegal international remains a Southampton player, he likely stands a good chance of featuring in their Premier League home match against Norwich City on August 30.
