Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns cruised to a 31-3 home victory over the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday night, with the quarterback finishing with three touchdowns.
Texas entered Saturday's matchup as a 20.5-point favorite over the Bulldogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The No. 11 Longhorns improved to 6-2 with the win, earning their second consecutive victory as they look to climb the SEC standings. Texas previously picked up a 34-27 win over Trinidad Chambliss and the No. 7 Ole Miss Rebels last week.

Manning and the Longhorns took a 17-0 lead into halftime after opening the game with a 1:55 touchdown drive, with Manning finding Cam Coleman for a 14-yard connection.
Mississippi State quarterback AJ Swann was strip-sacked before halftime, which Maraad Watson recovered and returned 61 yards for a touchdown.
Manning fumbled the ball away in the third quarter but made up for it by throwing a touchdown pass to Raleek Brown on the next possession, giving Texas a commanding 24-3 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Manning added a deep 42-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, his third of the game, finding Emmett Mosley V to blow the game wide open and secure a Halloween win at home.
ESPN's Jordan Reid has lowered Manning's draft stock, moving him outside the top five quarterback prospects for the 2027 NFL Draft after previously projecting him at No. 5 in early October. The Missouri Tigers' Austin Simmons has taken over at No. 5.
The senior quarterback has not been among the statistical leaders this season, entering Saturday's game with 1,507 passing yards (61st), 12 touchdowns (tied for 40th) and seven interceptions while taking the Longhorns to a 5-2 record.
Questions have continued to surround Manning's ceiling, including whether he can live up to the expectations set by his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning, or if he could become a bust in the NFL. His professional potential remains difficult to project.
Texas' two losses this season came against unranked opponents in the Oklahoma Sooners and Florida Gators. Manning threw two interceptions against Oklahoma before finishing with 173 passing yards and two fumbles, losing one, against Florida
The win was impressive, particularly from a defensive standpoint, as Texas held Mississippi State to just three points, keeping them out of the endzone. However, the Bulldogs are unranked and entered the matchup at 4-4, while Manning continued to struggle with turnovers, losing a fumble on Saturday.
The performance likely will not significantly impact how NFL scouts view Manning, either positively or negatively. Texas took care of business at home against an opponent it was expected to beat, with the senior quarterback accounting for three touchdowns and 220 passing yards.
Texas will hit the road to face the Missouri Tigers next Saturday at noon ET.
