North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, "secretly" broke up last year despite making public appearances since then, according to TMZ Sports.
People's Natasha Dye, Madison E. Goldberg and Zoey Lyttle reported that Belichick and Hudson ended their relationship "late last year," although they have continued to be "committed to their business partnerships and remain close friends."
It's uncertain exactly when their relationship started, but they were first publicly seen together in 2024.
Their relationship faced scrutiny following an April 2025 interview between Belichick and CBS Sunday Morning in which Hudson interrupted multiple times, including after a question was asked about how they met.
That same month, Matt Baker of The Athletic reported that Hudson appeared to have a professional involvement with Belichick despite not having a contract or other employment agreement with North Carolina.
The 25-year-old Hudson also asked Tar Heels staff members to filter negative comments about 74-year-old Belichick on social media, per Dye, Goldberg and Lyttle.
Belichick downplayed Hudson's involvement with North Carolina in an interview with Allie Jones of The Wall Street Journal that was released on Sept. 16.
"The way the story was picked up was a long way from that," Belichick said. "Like, 'She's trying to be the general manager of the team,' and it's so ridiculous."
Hudson has still been spotted at Tar Heels games this season, including a matchup with Notre Dame on Oct. 3.
North Carolina sits at 4-3 under Belichick in 2026 after posting a 4-8 mark during his first year patrolling the sidelines in 2025.
