Rainy conditions at Progressive Field caused a delay of the matchup between the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays in Game 4 of the ALCS on Friday night.
The rain resulted in puddles forming on the warning track.
According to The Weather Channel, there's a 54 percent chance of rain at 8 p.m. ET in Cleveland as well as a 40 percent chance of rain at 9 p.m. ET.
Weather has influenced the series since it shifted to Cleveland, as Thursday's Game 3 was moved up from 6 p.m. ET to 1 p.m. ET in order to avoid rain.
Before the start time of Game 4 was changed, there were conversations held regarding a potential update.
Nick Camino of WKYC-TV 3 reported Friday that the Guardians and Rays had a meeting with MLB at 6 p.m. ET to discuss the weather situation and the possibility of moving the beginning of the contest.
Cleveland holds a 2-1 series lead over Tampa Bay, securing a 7-3 victory in Game 1 before wrapping up a 3-2 win in Game 3. The Rays won Game 2 by the final score of 3-1.
The Guardians are looking to move one step closer to capturing the AL pennant and contending for the first World Series title since 1948, while the Rays are attempting to continue their journey to win the Fall Classic for the first time in franchise history.
