New NFL Trade Rumors on Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley's Value in Titans' Deadline Talks

The Tennessee Titans could be eyeing a further roster shakeup amid a 1-7 start to the season. With the NFL's trade deadline approaching on Tuesday, Nov. 10, Tennessee may be looking to compile more draft picks with a few more trades.

The Titans have been open to trading running back Tony Pollard and wide receiver Calvin Ridley, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.

"They have listened on both players," Breer wrote on Friday. "Pollard has drawn interest from teams looking for running back help that don't want to pay the freight for [Jonathan] Taylor, and the feeling from those teams is that it would cost at least a fourth-round pick to pry the veteran back from Tennessee. Ridley, who's not playing a ton anymore with Carnell Tate having emerged as the top guy in a fleet of promising young receivers, would come cheaper, maybe for a sixth-rounder or so."

Pollard has rushed for 595 yards and six touchdowns through eight games this season, putting him on pace for his fifth-consecutive 1,000-yard campaign. There are several teams in playoff contention who could use an upgrade at the running back position — particularly the Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers. All four of those teams currently hold a playoff seed despite ranking bottom-third in rushing yards this season.

Ridley appeared poised to be Tennessee's No. 1 wide receiver after reeling in 76 catches for 1,016 yards in 2024, which was his first season with the team. Since then, his production has dipped. The 32-year-old wide receiver has only been targeted 13 times in seven games this season. Although he's getting older, he could still provide an upgrade for receiver-needy teams like the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Titans made it clear that they're open to trading away their best players ahead of the NFL's trade deadline with the blockbuster deal that saw defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons shipped to the Chicago Bears. Tennessee now holds two first-round picks in each of the next two NFL drafts.
