Updated MLB Playoff Schedule, Weather Forecasts for Rays-Guardians, Brewers-Dodgers on Thursday

MLB announced it's moving up the start for Game 3 of the American League Championship Series due to inclement weather forecast for Cleveland.

The first pitch will be 1 p.m. ET on Thursday instead of 6 p.m.

According to The Weather Channel, the rain isn't expected until 11 p.m. ET on Thursday, but there's clearly a fear the front will move in earlier than that.

Thursday's NLCS Game 4 between the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers has been moved up an hour as a result:

Weather shouldn't be an issue in Los Angeles, regardless. Thursday's forecast features a high of 92 degrees and a low of 68 degrees, with no rain in the forecast.

MLB hasn't yet made any changes to ALCS Game 4 on Friday, which could be in more jeopardy. The forecast calls for scattered thunderstorms in the morning and rain into the evening.

Should Game 4 get postponed, the weather should clear up Saturday, and the teams have a day off on Sunday that could serve as a makeup date.

Moving an ALCS game to a weekday afternoon is obviously not ideal for those who have tickets. Be prepared to call off work or get an excuse to skip class.

By taking this step, though, MLB is basically saying it didn't see an alternative.

The ALCS is tied heading to Progressive Field after the Tampa Bay Rays earned a 3-1 win in Game 2 on Tuesday night.
