Dan Lanning Blasts 'Cheap' Hit on Dante Moore as New Video Reveals Oregon HC's Real-Time Reaction

Oregon football's official X account posted a video Tuesday showing head coach Dan Lanning's reaction to the hit that knocked quarterback Dante Moore out of Saturday's game against USC.

Beginning at the nine-minute mark of the video, Lanning is shown addressing the hit with his team, saying, "You saw that s--t was cheap. ... The best thing we can do is go fight for our f--king brother, you with me?"

Lanning then led his team in a prayer for Moore before adding, "Now, listen to me. That was dirty, that ain't us. Here's what we do, we're gonna play with our pads, every moment."

The play occurred early in the second quarter when USC linebacker Desman Stephens II hit Moore in the head area while the quarterback was sliding to the ground.

Stephens was assessed a personal foul for targeting and ejected from the game, and Dylan Raiola threw a touchdown pass two plays later after replacing Moore to give the Ducks a 10-7 lead.

Moore was carted off the field, and Lanning later announced that he was diagnosed with a concussion.

With their star quarterback out, the Ducks played an inspired game and went on to secure a 41-27 road win over the then-No. 12 Trojans.

Oregon moved up from No. 20 to No. 15 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll with the win, while USC dropped to No. 18.

It is unclear how much time Moore will have to miss, but until he is able to return, Raiola figures to be the Ducks' quarterback after throwing for 289 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's victory.
