Iowa joked about Michigan's controversial season-opening win over Western Michigan after the Hawkeyes secured a 20-19 victory against the Wolverines on Saturday.

After Iowa scored a game-winning touchdown as the clock ran out, it wrote that there was "no extra time necessary" in a post on X.

The Wolverines previously took down Western Michigan by the final score of 13-12 with a Hail Mary to begin the year.

Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood's initial Hail Mary attempt failed as time appeared to expire, although officials determined that one second remained on the game clock before the team's second try was successful.

Iowa made sure to remind fans that it didn't require any additional time for its walk-off win, improving to 4-0 on the season as a result.
