Ole Miss Loses to Florida After Kiffin Win, Box Score Stats & Highlights for Chambliss, Top Players

Ole Miss was unable to carry the momentum of last weekend's revenge victory over Lane Kiffin and LSU into Saturday's showdown with Florida.

Rebels quarterback Trinidad Chambliss turned the ball over twice, while Gators running back Jadan Baugh scored three touchdowns as No. 21 Florida secured a 52-28 win over No. 4 Ole Miss.

Baugh helped the Gators grab an early lead with a touchdown run on the game's opening drive.

The Gators' defense followed up that effort by ending Ole Miss' first offensive possession with a lost fumble on fourth-and-1.

Ole Miss made the matchup a one-score game by recording a 35-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Baugh helped the Gators extend their lead by running in his second touchdown of the game in the second quarter.

The star running back has now scored multiple touchdowns in all four of Florida's games so far this season.

Ole Miss ended the first half with a field goal before forcing a three-and-out. Chambliss then opened the third quarter by running in a touchdown to get his team within three points of tying the game.

That started out a high-scoring stretch during which both teams completed back-to-back touchdown drives.

Ole Miss still trailed at the end of that stretch, which ended when Chambliss lost a fumble. Florida capitalized with a touchdown to extend their lead.

Baugh ran in his third score of the day late in the fourth quarter before DJ Coleman picked off Chambliss to close out the win.

Ole Miss finished out the loss having allowed 498 total yards against (302 on the ground), while Florida allowed 426 yards against (298 passing).

The Gators are now off to their first 4-0 start since 2019. Florida should see a nice bump in its ranking before taking on another ranked opponent in No. 19 Missouri.

Ole Miss, which is primed to take a hit in next week's rankings, will look to bounce back Saturday at Vanderbilt.
