Thierry Henry Lists NYC Penthouse for $25 Million, Property Was Purchased for $14.9M in 2010

World football legend Thierry Henry is putting his Manhattan penthouse on the market, and for the princely sum of $25 million it can be yours.

The Wall Street Journal's Libertina Brandt reported Tuesday that Henry is looking to cash in on the property he originally purchased for $14.9 million.

The former France international bought the penthouse in conjunction with his move to MLS' New York Red Bulls. Aside from a brief lone spell with Arsenal, he spent his final five professional seasons in the United States.

Henry is one of the greatest players of his generation. He won two Premier League titles with Arsenal and scored 175 goals in 258 appearances. The 49-year-old went on to lift a pair of La Liga titles and a Champions League trophy with Barcelona.

At the national team level, Henry won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 with Les Bleus.

For younger fans, the 2003 Ballon d'Or runner-up is known more for his work in the studio than on the pitch. He has played a starring role alongside Kate Scott, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards in CBS Sports' coverage of the Champions League.
