Alabama OC Calls Out Fans with Strong Quote for Booing Team Before Comeback Win vs. FSU

Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb didn't appreciate fans booing early during Saturday's 50-36 comeback win against Florida State.

"We had some boo-birds," he told reporters during a press conference Monday. "I told the guys, I said, 'Shoot guys, if you'd have quit as fast as some of your fans, s--t, we wouldn't have won that game.' So I was proud of them. For a bunch of 19-year-olds to go out there and just [be down] 21-6 and not flinch, I was fired up."

The Crimson Tide found themselves trailing 21-6 in the second quarter before reeling off 20 straight points to end the first half. After punting on its first two drives, Alabama managed scoring drives on nine consecutive possessions before killing the clock to close the game.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer was also pleased with the team's resilience.

"Our team's shown that they got each other's backs, that's for sure," he told reporters. "We've seen that now multiple times when adversity has hit our football team. Proud of that part. Just got to go back to work and continue to improve, that's always the focus. It's about the next play, it's about the next game."

The 3-0 Crimson Tide will host South Carolina on Saturday.
