Trinidad Chambliss, Pete Golding React to Facing Lane Kiffin During Ole Miss' Dramatic Win vs. LSU

Ole Miss pulled off an epic 32-24 win over LSU on Saturday night, a game with plenty of subtext in Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford after he left the Rebels before last season's College Football Playoff to join the Tigers.

After the game, Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding reacted to the victory.

"It was a team effort," he told ESPN's Laura Rutledge. "Just so proud of our guys. They played their ass off. It took all things, defense and special teams. They were focused all week, it's a special group."

He also spoke about quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who threw for 363 yards and had three total touchdowns in the win.

"He's a fierce competitor. I told you before, 'As long as the ball's in No. 6's hands, we're good.' Just happy for our guys."

As for what it meant beating Kiffin, Golding kept it short and sweet.

"I think [Ole Miss chancellor] Glenn Boyce and [athletic director] Keith Carter might have a beer tonight, I know that."

Chambliss, meanwhile, praised his team's resilience and admitted that it was strange seeing Kiffin with LSU's players.

"It was a little weird seeing him on the other sideline and seeing other coaches," he told ESPN's Holly Rowe. "But it is what it is. We're competitors at the end of the day. It's just a football game but I'm glad we got the win."
