Lane Kiffin's LSU Tigers rebounded from a slow start to pick up a 45-14 win over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

LSU was only ahead by three points at halftime and quarterback Sam Leavitt threw three interceptions, but the Tigers found another level in the second half to pull away from their in-state foe.

LSU thought it was on the way to cruising to a win in the first quarter, when it went up 10-0.

Leavitt produced the first of his career high three rushing touchdowns to extend the advantage to 10 points.

However, the Tigers experienced a world of struggles in the second quarter.

Leavitt threw three interceptions, including one that was returned 100 yards for a touchdown.

All of the struggles seemed to be washed away once the second half began.

LSU put up 28 unanswered points. Leavitt ran in for two more scores and fed Trey'Dez Green on a 10-yard touchdown pass.

The big positive for LSU is that it found a way to rebound in the second half and win by 31 points, but things have to be much cleaner ahead of its much-anticipated SEC opener in Week 3.

Kiffin makes his return to Oxford to play the Ole Miss Rebels in primetime next Saturday.
