Odell Beckham Jr. Narrates LSU Hype Video for Lane Kiffin's 1st Season as HC Ahead of Clemson Opener

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who once starred for the LSU Tigers, narrated a hype video for his former college team as the squad gets ready for its first season under new head coach Lane Kiffin.

LSU, which is ranked No. 11 in the Associated Press' preseason poll, will host Clemson on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Tigers signed Kiffin to a seven-year, $91 million contract. He was in his sixth year as Ole Miss' head coach before LSU swooped in and agreed to terms shortly after the Rebels completed an 11-1 regular season in late November.

All eyes are on Baton Rouge this year as Kiffin, one of the more polarizing college sports coaches today, begins a new era in town.

LSU has encountered numerous struggles since constructing one of the greatest seasons in college football history in 2019, when the team went 15-0 and won the national championship. The Tigers have been ranked only twice in the final AP poll in the last six years, with a high of No. 12 in 2023.

The Brian Kelly era ended after a 5-3 start in 2025, and LSU ultimately stumbled to a 7-6 record.

Kiffin certainly brings a lot of hope into town after he guided Ole Miss to great success. The Rebels went 55-19 under his watch and earned the No. 6 seed in the College Football Playoff last year. Ole Miss also won 10 or more games in four of his six seasons.

LSU landed the No. 1 transfer class of 2026 by a wide margin, per 247Sports, in addition to the No. 13 recruiting class. The Tigers brought in 44 new transfers overall, including former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt, who will be QB1 in town now.

All in all, the hype is tremendous for LSU's season, and the Tigers are must-see television, at least to start. They also have a massive pair of games in the back end of the month, when LSU goes to Kiffin's old stomping grounds in Oxford, Mississippi, to play Ole Miss on Sept. 19 before hosting No. 8 Texas A&M the following week.
