Deion Sanders' Colorado Drops Hype Video Calling Out Critics Ahead of CFB Opener vs. Georgia Tech

Colorado released a hype video on social media ahead of the football team's season-opening clash with Georgia Tech on Thursday night.

The Buffaloes' video included clips of critics expressing their concerns surrounding the squad.

Head coach Deion Sanders' team is attempting to put together a resurgent 2026 campaign after wrapping up a 3-9 finish in 2025.

The Buffaloes previously posted a 9-4 record under Sanders in 2024, but struggled following the offseason departures of key contributors including Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders and LaJohntay Wester.

Colorado experienced issues on both sides of the ball throughout its 2025 campaign, owning the second-worst scoring offense in the Big 12 while also allowing 30.5 points per game.

The Buffaloes made several coaching changes to prepare for 2026, bringing in new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion and new defensive coordinator Chris Marve.

Colorado also revamped its roster by remaining active in the transfer portal. The Buffaloes received commitments from 43 players in the portal this year, tied for the third-most in the country (via 247Sports).

With redshirt freshman Julian Lewis now starting at quarterback, Colorado will try to open the season on a high note against a Georgia Tech team that has compiled a winning record in each of the past three years.
