Philadelphia 76ers star forward Jaylen Brown has enjoyed an eventful offseason, but it's a moment from last summer, when Brown served as a guest lecturer at MIT, that's been the focus of a recent run of memes on social media.

The former Boston Celtic has been an MIT Media Lab fellow since 2019 and helps "create impactful opportunities for marginalized youth." Brown has also been a guest lecturer at Harvard and his alma mater, Cal Berkeley.

However, some fans found a bit of humor in an early moment from Brown's lecture, and he quickly became a meme on social media:

Brown has faced criticism for his intellectual pursuits before. Fox Sports' Colin Cowherd recently cited league sources saying the 29-year-old thinks he's "the smartest guy in any room he's in." Brown responded to the report, saying, "No offense to everybody in sports, but the bar is f--king low."
