WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 2026 Live Updates, Results and Highlights From MSG

It took quite some time for Brunson and Reigns to finally get to the ring. The last match literally ended 20 minutes before they said a single word.

The OTC did his usual thing and put himself and Brunson over on the mic. Reigns presented Brunson with a custom world title with Knicks side plates and colors.

As they posed with their belts, Seth Rollins' music hit, but it was Tyrese Haliburton who showed up carrying a steel chair. Rollins snuck into the ring and attacked Reigns from behind while Brunson stood there and watched.

Seth put him on top of a steel chair, but Brunson stood in his way to prevent a Stomp. The OTC hit a Superman Punch and a Spear. Haliburton helped Rollins make his exit while Reigns and Brunson posed in the ring.

Brunson got a big entrance, complete with an announcer. He took his sweet time walking backstage before finally getting to the arena.

The matches might have been over, but WWE still had one segment left with Roman Reigns and Jalen Brunson.

Rhodes hit another Cody Cutter for a close two-count. Zayn almost got the pin the same way he won the WWE title, but Cody kicked out. Sami hit a Blue Thunder Bomb but still couldn't get the pin.

The American Nightmare made the tag to Punk, who came in and went on a rampage against Zayn. He locked in the Anaconda Vise while Rhodes put Gunther in a Figure Four.

Gunther managed to rake Punk's eyes to force him to break his hold on Zayn, and then Zayn attacked Rhodes to break up the Figure Four.

Everyone hit something to take someone else out until all four men were down at once. Gunther was able to put Punk in a sleeper after knocking Rhodes off the apron.

Punk was able to make a desperate tag, and Rhodes hit his finisher. Zayn pushed Punk into the reg to break the count, and it ended up taking the official out.

Punk and Rhodes took turns teeing off on Gunther. Once the former champion had control, he hit a powerbomb. Another official showed up, but Nick Aldis arrived to yank him out of the ring.

Punk and Rhodes were able to get the win thanks to Aldis' help when he hit Gunther with the WWE title, which secured them a one-on-one match for SummerSlam instead of a Fatal 4-Way.

WINNERS: CM PUNK AND CODY RHODES

Zayn got a pretty positive response from the NY crowd. As soon as he got to the ring, all four men started brawling. Rhodes went after Gunther while Punk and Zayn squared off.

Punk and Rhodes took control and double-teamed Zayn while Gunther was forced to watch from the apron. Once Zayn forced Punk to his corner, The Ring General tagged in and chopped him until he fell out of the ring.

Punk was tossed into the timekeeper's area, but Rhodes helped him back to the ring. Zayn got right on him and started punching and headbutting him.

Rhodes and Gunther tagged in at the same time and started throwing hands. Cody hit a Disaster Kick and a Cody Cutter to Gunther while also fending off an attack from Zayn.

Cody Rhodes was the first to make his entrance for his tag match with CM Punk against Gunther and Sami Zayn.

After Bayley and Lyra were done, WWE aired a few videos and commercials.

Valkyria stayed on offense and tried to inflict as much damage as possible. Even without the blood, they made this into a very physical match.

Lyra used the top turnbuckle to hit a neckbreaker before setting Bayley up on the middle rope so she could hit a leg drop to the back of the neck from the top rope for a near-fall.

The former world champion started to build up a head of steam. She locked in a crossface, but Valkyria escaped and ran her into the top rope. They talked some trash to each other before Lyra took her down and applied a submission similar to Jon Moxley's bulldog choke.

Bayley ended up passing out to the hold, which forced the ref to call the match and declare Lyra the winner.

WINNER: LYRA VALKYRIA

Lyra kept attacking Bayley after the match was over. A couple of officials tried to stop her, but she ended up dropping Bayley on the steel steps with her finisher.

Bayley gave a brief interview before heading to the ring. Lyra's entrance music received a remix to match her new heel persona. She also had some new gear.

They locked up and struggled for control. Bayley slapped Lyra, which caused her to get angry and lunge at her former friend. Valkyria took her down, but Bayley was right back up to return the favor.

Lyra was busted open the hard way from a stiff shot, which caused her to bleed all over the place. She didn't let that stop her from going after Bayley again. She yanked Bayley into the top rope as her nose kept bleeding.

The ref tried to help her with a towel, but Lyra kept going after Bayley until she was tossed out of the ring. Bayley was told by the ref to hold off on attacking her because of her injury, but Bayley hit a suicide dive anyway.

Lyra Valkyria was interviewed backstage about her upcoming match against Bayley. We also saw highlights from Fanatics Fest, including when Tom Brady slapped Logan Paul, so it looks like that is a work and was done to set up a potential match.

Danhausen started going on a roll, and he even took out Mysterio with a belly-to-belly suplex when he tried to interfere.

Dirty Dom helped JD regain control, and they ripped the jersey off of him to pour salt in the wound. When they tried to get a table from under the ring, a handful of Minihausens showed up to attack them.

Danhausen went to his cloning machine and put his stuffed cat inside while Dom put a table in the ring. Karl Anthony Towns emerged from the machine and walked to the ring with Danhausen.

He chokeslammed Dom through the table and Danhausen hit his finisher on McDonagh for the win.

WINNER: DANHAUSEN

Jackie Redmond asked JD McDonagh if he was prepared to handle being cursed by Danhausen. He said he is going to take care of business before heading to the ring. A blimp with Danhausen's face was flying over the ring when he made his entrance wearing Knicks colors.

As soon as the bell rang, Danhausen cursed JD, so he rolled out of the ring to regroup with Dominik Mysterio, who got onto the apron to taunt Danhausen with the stolen Knicks jersey. McDonagh attacked him from behind.

This was a no DQ match, so the ref didn't do anything to stop Dom. McDonagh ran Danhausen into the barricade and ring post as he beat him down all around the ring.

Bobblehead Balor maintained control for a long time. Dom added insult to injury by using the Knicks jersey to wipe his shoes. Danhausen started to fight back and hit a series of punches in the corner, but JD quickly turned it into a brainbuster for a two-count.

McDonagh missed a big moonsault, which gave Danhausen a chance to recover. He got his Knicks jersey back and put it on, which got a pop from the New York crowd.

A few celebrities were shown in attendance, but the crowd popped the biggest for Trick Williams when he was shown sitting in the crowd.

They threw to a video package to hype Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh.

Brie got taken out at ringside, which allowed Reid and Henley to double-team Paige. Bella tried to get back into it, but Henley kept her out of the ring while Reid scored the pin to become the new tag team champions.

WINNERS: FATAL INFLUENCE WIN THE WOMEN'S TAG TITLES

This was a solid match and probably the best Paige and Bella have had as the champions. Reid and Henley celebrated with Jayne as the former champions looked disappointed in the ring.

Jacy Jayne was at ringside to support Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid in their attempt to win gold from Brie Bella and Paige. All four competitors had new gear for this match.

Paige and Reid started, but it took almost no time for Brie to tag in for a double-team spot. Cole mistook Reid for Henley as she nailed Brie with a stiff forearm to the face.

Lainey and Fallon hit a nice double-team stun gun on Paige to get the upper hand. They cut the ring in half with quick tags and kept her away from Brie as long as they could.

Once Bella tagged back in, she started to build some momentum against both opponents.

Jayne got on the apron, but Paige knocked her right back off with an elbow strike. Reid and Henley used the distraction to take control for a moment, but Brie saved Paige from a moonsault.

Stephanie McMahon and Joe Tessitore served as hosts while Michael Cole and Wade Barrett were on commentary. First up, Fatal Influence came out for their tag title match.

Saturday Night's Main Event is officially on the air! The show opened with a special video about MSG. WWE has been active all day at Fanatics Fest and at their own countdown show before SNME started.
